VCT EMEA League Format

VCT EMEA follows competitive format designed by Riot Games VCT Rulebook.This competitive format helps to select the best teams that will represent the region in international tournaments.

The league consists of:

1. VCT EMEA League

A year-long competition featuring the VCT franchised teams in the region.
Teams compete in a regular season, followed by playoffs to determine the champions.
The points system in EMEA league makes teams eligible for international event events like Masters and Champions.

Format
- Playoffs:
  - Double-Elimination bracket
  - All matches (excl. Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final) are Bo3
  - Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final are Bo5
    - 12 Teams are divided into 2 pools as per their placement in the last season.
    - Teams that participated at Champions 2024 Seoul are seeded in Pool 1.
      - Pool 1 consists of FUT Esports FUT Esports, Team Vitality Team Vitality, Fnatic Fnatic & Team Heretics Team Heretics.
      - Pool 2 consists of Team Liquid Team Liquid, KOI KOI, Karmine Corp Karmine Corp, Natus Vincere Natus Vincere, BBL Esports BBL Esports, GIANTX GIANTX, Apeks Apeks & Gentle Mates Gentle Mates.
    - Pool 1 gets a bye round getting into the Playoffs.
    - Pool 2 plays against the same teams from the same Pool.

2. Challengers & Ascension

Challengers serves as the tier-two circuit, where up-and-coming teams battle for a chance to qualify for the EMEA Ascension tournament.
The winner of Ascension earns a two-year promotion into the VCT EMEA League.

3. International Events

Top teams from VCT EMEA qualify for VCT Masters (mid-season international tournaments) and VCT Champions (the VALORANT World Championship).
